Established in 2014, Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company is an employee pension company owned by its client, which executes the statutory earnings-related pension provision for employees and entrepreneurs in their client companies. The company was formed following the merger of Pension Fennia and Tapiola Mutual Pension Insurance Company. One third of all Finnish companies and about 40% of self-employed people in Finland have chosen Elo to manage their pension insurance needs. It is entrusted with the provision of future pensions of around 500,000 employees and self-employed persons, the payment of pensions for 244,000 pensioners and the management of EUR 29 billion in investment assets.
